You're not sure what it is or where it's coming from, but you are being called to change. You are being called in a language that sounds unfamiliar but feels true to your soul. You are being asked to bring your magic into the world. A magic that is needed and necessary and a magic that is unique to you. You are the only one that can bring your magic to the world. And, we need you to show up.
When I first recognized my magic rising, it freaked me the fuck out. I thought I was going insane. After the freak-out calmed down, the doubt set in. Who me?? They must have it wrong. I'm too normal to be magic. I have a career and kids and a suburban house, there's no place for magic here. So, like any normal person, I ignored it. I pretended it wasn't happening. And then my life promptly fell apart.
When I tried to pick up the pieces, I found that they no longer fit. I could not put my life back together the way it was. WTF. I remember having a screaming match with myself, letting it be known that I had no interest in wearing tie dye, or smelling like dirt, or being weird. I had a normal life to live, thank. you. very. much. Now fuck off.
The thing is, magic is persistent. It's crafty in it's ways. Not only did I finally come around, I found that I could do all the things I was doing before and be magic. I didn't have to live in a commune, or grow warts, or subject myself to questionable rituals. I simply woke up each day, continuing to do what I did, knowing — choosing — magic as an ally.
Is your magic rising? Would you like some help figuring out what that looks like and what to do with it? I can help.
